ADERCO organises a series of talks on renewable energies in the schools of the county
The association for the Rural Development of the County of Olivenza (ADERCO) has organised a series of conferences on the future of renewable energies in Extremadura, which will be held in the high schools within the county of Olivenza.
These talks will be put forward by the technicians of the Regional Agency of the Energy, a public body which counts with the best experts.
The activity falls within the ELREN project, which is being managed by the Association ADERCO in collaboration with partners from Holland, Ireland and Italy. Apart from the talks it also includes several training sessions for politicians, municipal technicians and entrepreneurs, as well as the edition of a training manual on energy saving and new sources for energy, which will be handed for free throughout the municipalities of the region.
The organisation of an international closing conference on renewable energies is scheduled for the next year, which will give an end to the activities that are being carried out within this cooperation project and will be held in Olivenza. It is necessary to highlight that ELREN is within the framework of the Leader+ European Initiative and counts with the backing from the European Union, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Commission of Rural Development of the Regional Government
Raising awareness
According to Gregorio Torres Gallego, manager of ADERCO, “the conferences are designed to raise awareness the awareness of the youth regarding the importance of the preservation of our natural resources and the suppression of the pollutant sources of energy, and is going to make a particular stress on the energy saving and, above all, on the increasing possibilities that the renewable energies have to become the main suppliers of the society in the future”. The present situation of these sources of energy will be analyzed, as well as the future of the photovoltaic plants, the wind and hydro electrical mills, the anaerobic digesters, etc.
The talks will concentrate on present and future situation and will be held in Olivenza, Villanueva del Fresno, Barcarrota and Valverde de Leganés.
