Global RE Database Survey  --  VISIT  Hits: 36   In the framework of the RE Database Initiative a Global RE Database Survey has been carried out aiming at providing an overview of databases currently available in the RE sector. The survey gives an overview of 104 databases and other information systems for renewable energy. 45 database providers returned the database questionnaire and through other channels information about 99 more sources of information about renewable energy could be included in the survey. This survey was also the basis for several interesting statistics that allow a deeper insight into the structure of the renewable energy market and as a consequence has the potential to support decisions about future renewable energy databases. The project team has also produced a Practical Guide for Database Producers. Intute  --  VISIT  Hits: 0   Intute: Science, Engineering and Technology offers a free, easy to use and powerful tool for discovering the best Internet resources for teaching, learning and research, covering the physical sciences, engineering, computing, geography, mathematics and environmental science. Intute has been created by bringing together three of the Hubs of the Resource Discovery Network (RDN): EEVL (Engineering, Mathematics and Computing), GEsource (Geography and Environment), and PSIgate (Physical Sciences). The same team of experts, based at The University of Manchester and Heriot-Watt University, will maintain and develop the service. Intute database includes a reference to ELREN Training Manual here. PV Database  --  VISIT  Hits: 12   PV Database is aiming at Building Integrated PhotoVoltaic (BIPV) web-based database on solar energy projects and products. The database is being developed as a specific Task under the PV Up-scale project documented under the section "Links -> Re projects" of this website. REEGLE Intelligent Search  --  VISIT  Hits: 4   This is the Intelligent Search engine of REEGLE, the Information Gateway for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. REEGLE is a one-stop-shop for high quality up-to-date information on clean energy policy, with a core objective of supporting the global advancement of energy efficiency and renewables. The website facilitates fast access to constantly updated information for politicians, project developers, companies, municipalities, banks, credit institutes and for all those interested in this issue. RETScreen Marketplace  --  VISIT  Hits: 6   This database is hosted in the "Marketplace" section of the website prepared by RETScreen International Clean Energy Decision Support Centre, a Canadian entity managed under the leadership and ongoing financial support of Natural Resources Canada's (NRCan) CANMET Energy Technology Centre - Varennes (CETC-Varennes).  The database allows searching commercial information made available in the website under 3 thematic categories:  Step 1 - Subject (Energy Resouce Maps, Equipment Suppliers, Service Providers, Information Sources), Step 2 - Technology (Wind Energy, Small Hydro, Photovoltaics, Combined Heat & Power, Biomass Heating, Solar Air Heating, Solar Water Heating, Passive Solar Heating, Ground-source Heat Pumps, Refrigeration, Recycled Energy, Other) and Step 3 - Region (Africa, Asia, Europe, North & Central America, South America, South-West Pacific). REW Suppliers Database  --  VISIT  Hits: 23   The REW Suppliers Database is a database organised by Renewable Energy World containing up-to-date details of over 5,000 specialist companies world-wide.  A company may be located by its activity classification, by region and country, or by name. These different selection criteria can be combined to perform a multi-criteria search.  Any company can be listed in the database free-of-charge by compiling an on-line module.
