55 kw power capacity mini-hydro plant, “Griesmühle” is an old plant located in the hamlet of Walding, on the Great Rodl River, Upper Austria. It has been recently rehabilitated and the former mill converted into a low-energy building comprising 13 new apartments, whose electricity and heating needs are totally satisfied from the hydropower installations with the support of 2 heat-pumps mechanically driven from the water turbine.
